About ELLO
ELLO is an AI care camera for families looking after ageing parents at home. It sits quietly in Mum or Dad's room. It notices when something's wrong, a fall, a faint, smoke, an unexpected door opening, signs of distress. And it tells you in 60 seconds, in plain language.
It also sends you a short summary every evening, so you know how their day went without having to call three times.
ELLO is built for families looking after ageing parents at home. The adult children who live nearby but can't be there all the time. The siblings who share the care. The people who worry about Mum or Dad every day at work and can't always call to check.
If you've ever thought "I should call her" while you're in a meeting, ELLO is for you.
A regular camera records footage. You have to watch it. ELLO does the watching for you. Most people who buy Vision One already have a regular camera somewhere in the house, they just stopped checking it. ELLO is what they wish their existing camera could do.
The other big difference: ELLO doesn't ping you for every shadow or visitor. It only alerts you when something's actually wrong.
We're based in Singapore. We ship to Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia. We're a small team, and you can usually reach a real person within a day or two, marketing@helloello.co.
Caring for ageing parents
Most ageing parents say no to cameras at first. The word "camera" makes them think of surveillance, of being watched all day. ELLO isn't that.
Here's what helps most families:
Tell them ELLO doesn't watch, it notices. The only time it sends anything is when something's wrong, like a fall. The rest of the time, no one sees anything.
Show them you can both choose who sees what. No videos go anywhere except to the family members you choose.
Most parents change their mind after a few days. Some forget the camera is even there after a week.
Vision One is especially useful for families caring for parents with memory loss. The wandering alert in particular, if the front door opens at an unusual time, you'll know.
We've thought hard about this. ELLO is quiet. It doesn't move. It doesn't speak unless you do (through the two-way audio). Most parents with mild to moderate memory loss adapt to it the same way they adapt to a new lamp or photo frame.
If your parent has more advanced dementia, email us and tell us about their situation. We'll talk it through honestly with you.
Many of our families have a helper at home with their parent during the day. ELLO works alongside them, not instead of them.
The helper coming over at the usual time won't trigger an alert. But if something happens when the helper isn't there, early morning, late at night, when they step out, you'll still know.
You can also add the helper to the ELLO app so they get the same alerts you do.
Yes. You can add anyone to the ELLO app, siblings, your helper, your partner, anyone who shares the care. Everyone gets the same alerts at the same time. Everyone gets the same evening summary.
No more "did anyone check on Mum today?" group chats.

Honestly, because the work doesn't stop after you plug the camera in.
The AI that notices falls, the daily summary, the alerts to your phone, the cloud storage, the security updates, all of that is ongoing. The subscription is what pays for keeping ELLO working every day, every month.
Plus we'd rather you cancel anytime than feel locked in. So we made it month-to-month, no contracts.
Yes. No contract. No lock-in. Cancel anytime from the ELLO app.
If you cancel within the first month, you pay nothing, the first month is free.
Setting up ELLO
Less than 15 minutes for most families.
Plug Vision One into the wall. Download the ELLO app on your phone. Scan the QR code on the camera. Done. Vision One is watching over Mum or Dad the same day.
No. Vision One comes with a magnetic bracket. You can set it on a shelf or sideboard, or stick it to a wall — no drilling needed. Especially helpful if you're in an HDB or renting.
Yes. Vision One needs a Wi-Fi connection at Mum or Dad's home to send alerts to your phone.
Most modern Wi-Fi setups work, including standard home routers from Singtel, StarHub, Maxis, or any other provider. Vision One supports Wi-Fi 6, but it works with older Wi-Fi standards too.
If their Wi-Fi is weak or unreliable, that's worth fixing before you set up ELLO. We can help you think through that, just email us.
Vision One keeps recording locally to the microSD card. When the Wi-Fi comes back, it'll catch up on whatever it missed.
You won't get real-time alerts during the outage, there's no way around that. But you won't lose any footage, and ELLO will start telling you what happened the moment it reconnects.
Yes. Just unplug it, move it, plug it back in. The app will reconnect automatically. If it's a new home or a very different Wi-Fi network, you might need to re-scan the QR code , takes about a minute.
What ELLO can do
Vision One uses AI trained to recognise the visual pattern of a fall, a sudden change in body position, followed by unusual stillness on the floor or near furniture. When it sees that pattern, it sends you an alert within 60 seconds.
It works in the dark too, using night vision.
Like any AI, it's not perfect, especially in the first few weeks while it learns your parent's home. You might get one or two false alerts. After that, accuracy improves significantly. Most of our families get one false alert per month, usually for unusual movements like a deep stretch or getting up from a low chair.
Distress detection looks for visual cues that anyone in the room would recognise, someone clutching their chest, slumping against furniture, lying in an unusual position for a long time, struggling to stand.
When ELLO sees one of these, it sends you a calm alert in the app. Often it'll turn out to be nothing. Sometimes it'll be the moment that mattered.
No. ELLO doesn't contact emergency services on its own. We believe that decision belongs to the family, not to an algorithm.
What ELLO does is tell you what's happening, fast, so you can call Mum or Dad first, decide if you need to drive over, or call SCDF or your local emergency number yourself. That's a decision that should stay with you.
Ask ELLO is a conversational AI inside the app. You can ask it questions in plain language, like:
• "Where's Dad?"
• "Has Mum been up today?"
• "When did Dad last go into the kitchen?"
ELLO answers based on what it's seen. No scrolling through footage. No guessing. Just ask.
Privacy & data
We treat your family’s data with the same level of security we’d want for our own parents. Your data stays 100% private within a dedicated, solo graph database on our secure servers.
Here is how we keep it safe:
- Industry-Leading Security: We use bank-grade encryption, secure connections, and strict permission protocols to ensure no one but you has access.
- Total Control: Nothing is ever shared without your explicit consent.
- The "Right to Forget": You own your data. If you ever choose to leave, deleting your account removes your data from our systems permanently.
Two options:
Cloud storage, 30 days included with the Family plan. End-to-end encrypted. Stored on servers in Singapore and Australia.
Local microSD card, if you'd rather keep everything in the camera, you can use a microSD card (sold separately). Nothing leaves the house.
Most families use cloud storage because it means you can access footage from anywhere. But the choice is yours, and you can change your mind anytime.
